Happy birthday to me...and my birthday mani=)

So, today is my 22th birthday=) *Happy birthday to me*
I've spent the day with my family, so I have to say it was a wonderful day!
And here is my mani for today:

Unfortunatelly I didn't have time to take a picture in the sun=/ Also this are pre-cleanup pictures, I hope you don't mind it too much=)
This is China Glaze DV8 topped with OPI - Simmer and Shimmer and OPI - Absolutely Alice. It is super blingy and sparkly and I absolutely love it!
I also took pictures of DV8 on its own, here they are:

Taken in the sun
DV8 is such a beautiful polish from China glaze OMG collection, which was released in 2008, so these polishes are super HTF now, and I'm really happy I was able to get this one! Just look at the rainbow <3 I didn't use base or top coat here. The application was amazing, opaque in one coat, no problems!

How do you like my b-day manicure?

Sunshine means holo=)

When I woke up today, I've seen sunshine outside. And immediately I decided I need holo on my nails=) So, I've decided to wear Teeez Smooth and S-he #427 alternately, to make it a little more interesting. Here's how it turned out:

The first picture is taken indoors, with flash others are on sunshine

I'm wearing Teeez on index and ring finger and S-he on thumb, middle and little finger. I didn't used base or top coat. Both are two coats and I didn't have any trouble with application. I know I cannot expect long wear, but it doesn't matter, since I'm planning to change it for tomorrow - it's my birthday tomorrow, so I want to do something really special, I just don't know what yet. If you have any suggestions please let me know=)

So, how do you like my mani? I have to say I really like it, and I'm sure I'll wear it again!

Thanks for reading,

Sally Hansen Picnic Pink

Today I wanted to do something pretty and girly, so I decided to wear pink. I looked through my unused pink polishes and Sally Hansen Picnic pink caught my eye=) It's super pretty pink with golden shimmer that really makes the polish glow and shine. The moment I applied it, I fell in love <3 Especially when I saw it on the sun. Beautiful!!! Check for yourself:

Sally Hansen Velvet frost and sponging

I havent't posted for a few days. That's because my nails were naked, I just didn't have time to do them. But today I have had a little time and I put Sally Hansen Velvet  frost on my nails:
Velvet frost is a gorgeus dark green polish with frost finish. I have had a little trouble with application, because of its streakiness, but nothing I couldn't handle=) On the picture there are three coats. Aldo it is beautiful I find it a little boring on its own(yep, I'm in my "glitter/sparkle/shiny phase"), so I decided to try sponging it. I wanted to try gradient manicure for a while now, so I tried that. Here's the final result:
I used China glaze Outta bounds, China glaze Paper chasing, Sally Hansen Mistletoe, Sally Hansen Twinkle and Color club Object of envy.

I'm not really sure if I like this or not. What do you think?

Small haul and NOTD

Today I went shoping in Seiersberg. Imagine my surprise when I discovered a whole stand of P2 cosmetics. Maybe you've already knew that it was also sold in Austria, but I sure didn't, so I was speachless. Mainly because it wasn't in one of the ordinary drugstores, nope, it was in a store that sells lingerie - Palmers. I wouldn't even discover it, if I wasn't waiting there and I checked the window display. They also had the  Cirque de beauté collection and also some remainings from Black deluxe collection. So here's what I got for myself:
-Black deluxe smokey eye shadow palette in Blue drama
-Black deluxe nail polish in Blue pearl
-Feel natural puder in Natural rose
-Cirque de beaute duo lipstick in Cheeky lips
-Intensive khol eyeliner in Artful finland
-Eye dream in Midnight star
I also bougth nail art stickers from Essence Crystalliced collection, but I forgot to take a picture.
And here's my NOTD:

This is Essence - Applause, applause from Circus circus TE. This one is also made out of two parts: the red creme and red glitter. It is beautiful and pictures can't show how it looks in real life. It is much more shiny in person. This is two coats of glitters over one coat of creme=) I am just dissapointed that it didn't last long. I painted it yesterday and today it was already chiped=/ But it's true I didn't use a top coat(didn't have time...ups).

Red comparisons part I.

Since I am trying to downsize my stash, I'm looking for polishes that look similar or are even dupes. So, here are todays comparisons:
Essie - Lollipop and Carlo di Roma #19:
Essie on index and ring finger and Carlo di Roma on middle and little finger:
Taken in natural daylight, no flash
Sunshine, no flash
Taken with flash
 And a bottle picture
I used 2 coats with both of these, but my nail line is still visible due to both of them being jellies. I didn't have any problems with application. These two are very similar, but there are some minors differences that you can see in the last picture. Essie is still a little bit more opaque and a tad darker. Both dried extremely glossy.
Bourjois - Rouge escarpin, MNY #353 and OPI - O'hare and nails look great!:
Bourjois on index finger, MNY on middle finger and OPI in ring finger
Taken in natural daylight, no flash
 Sunshine, no flash
 Taken with flash
  And a bottle picture
My cutticles are a bit dry here, because of the use of acetone and a lot of swatching. Please, excuse that=)
I used two coats for all of this. IRL they are a little bit darker. I don't see a difference in colour between these. The application was fine, no problems, but I like the brush from OPI the best.
Manhattan # 46K, BL Deluxe #2 and Essie - Happy hour:
Manhattan on index finger, BL Deluxe on middle finger and Essie on ring finger.
Taken in natural daylight, no flash
  Sunshine, no flash
 Taken with flash
  And a bottle picture
These three look very much alike in the bottles, but on the nails they are different.
All of them are cremes. Manhattan is the most opaque of all three and Essie the least. If I'd been more careful one thicker coat of Manhattan would be enough, but I used two. It is also the darkest here. BL Deluxe is lighter than Manhattan. BL Deluxe is also a bit more sheer than Manhattan, I used three coats. I didn't have any problems with application. Essie is the sheerest. After three coats nail line was still a bit visible, but you can't see that in pictures. The application was flawless. Essie and BL Deluxe are similar, but not the same. Essie is lighter and sheerer.
NYX Blood and Essence Thirsty!(Eclipse LE):
NYX on index and ring finger and Essence on middle and little finger
Taken in natural daylight, no flash
  Sunshine, no flash
  Taken with flash
  And a bottle picture
Essence is more opaque than NYX, 2 coats were enought. After first coat there were some streaks, but the second coat even everything out. For NYX I needed 3 coats to get full opacity. Both dried very glossy. In the end these look almost the same, they are almost dupes. NYX is a little bit lighter, but you really have to look carefully to see it.

Thanks for reading and have a lovely weekend!

Essence - My sparkling acrobat

This is from Circus circus TE and I love it! It is BEAUTIFUL! It's made out of two parts: creme black and glitter gold. The creme part is highly pigmented, so one coat is enough. It dries to very glossy finish. Glitters are different sizes and shapes. I really like it and I'm so happy I got it! So here are many pictures of this beauty(all pictures are clickable) - so click them to see the shining beauty=)
