Red comparisons part I.

Since I am trying to downsize my stash, I'm looking for polishes that look similar or are even dupes. So, here are todays comparisons:
Essie - Lollipop and Carlo di Roma #19:
Essie on index and ring finger and Carlo di Roma on middle and little finger:

Sunshine, no flash

I used 2 coats with both of these, but my nail line is still visible due to both of them being jellies. I didn't have any problems with application. These two are very similar, but there are some minors differences that you can see in the last picture. Essie is still a little bit more opaque and a tad darker. Both dried extremely glossy.
Bourjois - Rouge escarpin, MNY #353 and OPI - O'hare and nails look great!:
Bourjois on index finger, MNY on middle finger and OPI in ring finger

 Sunshine, no flash

  And a bottle picture
My cutticles are a bit dry here, because of the use of acetone and a lot of swatching. Please, excuse that=)
I used two coats for all of this. IRL they are a little bit darker. I don't see a difference in colour between these. The application was fine, no problems, but I like the brush from OPI the best.
Manhattan # 46K, BL Deluxe #2 and Essie - Happy hour:
Manhattan on index finger, BL Deluxe on middle finger and Essie on ring finger.
Taken in natural daylight, no flash
  Sunshine, no flash
 Taken with flash
  And a bottle picture
These three look very much alike in the bottles, but on the nails they are different.
All of them are cremes. Manhattan is the most opaque of all three and Essie the least. If I'd been more careful one thicker coat of Manhattan would be enough, but I used two. It is also the darkest here. BL Deluxe is lighter than Manhattan. BL Deluxe is also a bit more sheer than Manhattan, I used three coats. I didn't have any problems with application. Essie is the sheerest. After three coats nail line was still a bit visible, but you can't see that in pictures. The application was flawless. Essie and BL Deluxe are similar, but not the same. Essie is lighter and sheerer.
NYX Blood and Essence Thirsty!(Eclipse LE):
NYX on index and ring finger and Essence on middle and little finger
Taken in natural daylight, no flash
  Sunshine, no flash
  Taken with flash
  And a bottle picture
Essence is more opaque than NYX, 2 coats were enought. After first coat there were some streaks, but the second coat even everything out. For NYX I needed 3 coats to get full opacity. Both dried very glossy. In the end these look almost the same, they are almost dupes. NYX is a little bit lighter, but you really have to look carefully to see it.

Thanks for reading and have a lovely weekend!
A.
